Tips for active spending of your spare time in the surroundings of the Akademie Hotel
We prepared several tips for trips in the near and far surroundings of the hotel. All these places can be visited by train, car or bike.
There is a recently built bikeway connecting the towns of Olomouc and Moravský Beroun passing past the hotel in the valley of the Bystřice river. A part of the services of our bikers-friendly hotel is the bike room offering refreshment and basic bike service.

Zoological garden of Svatý Kopeček – situated in a beautiful woody area, 43 hectares of breadth. There are 300 species of animals bred. A monkey-run, unique in the central Europe, where the visitors pass among freely running primates. About 15 km by car, about 10 km by bike and by foot.
Basilica on Svatý Kopeček – the today’s monumental church, visited also by the Pope, was finished in 1714 – 1721. The main interior offers a fascinating view of very rich decoration of paintings and sculptures.
City of OLOMOUC – after Prague, the second oldest and largest historical town reserve of the Czech Republic. The fifth largest corporate city of the Czech Republic, famous also for its regular exhibitions “Flora Olomouc”. Among the most important historical monuments there is the Holy Trinity Column in Horní náměstí, listed as a UNESCO cultural monument since 2000.
